Engraving is usually done by a machine and gives a very uniform look. Hand-stamping on metal is a craft and art! Each letter and design is carefully stamped on the tag one by one. The metal stamps we use are sourced from around the globe and are very high quality.
The stamping by hand gives the piece a unique and quirky look. Each pet tag is a one of a kind and can vary from the shown image. Due to the hand making process, the writing, depth, and designs can vary slightly making the piece you receive totally unique!

Metals like copper, and brass naturally tarnish and get a patina over time. This is a normal occurrence that can't be prevented! If you don't like that look and want the tag to be shiny a little bit of simple maintenance will keep your dog tag looking like new!

★ Use a mild soap and water together with fine steel wool to clean off the natural patina. A metal polishing cloth can also do the trick.
★ Don't use harsh chemicals or cleaners on the tag.
★ If the letters, designs, or numbers have faded you can use a black permanent marker like a Sharpie to touch them up. Wipe off the excess with fine steel wool or a polishing pad.
★ Exposing the tags to salt/chlorinated water and harsh chemicals will tarnish the metal

Yes! Each dog and cat tag comes with a strong split ring attached. Our split rings are high quality and won't come off ensuring that your dog doesn't loose the tag.
Brass dog tags will be delivered with a brass split ring.

We use a variety of carefully selected stamping tools and metal blanks for our tags. Each tag will be unique. You won't find a second one like it!
We can customize each tag with your dog's name and up to 2 phone numbers on the back. Smaller tags can only be stamped with one phone number.
